ISU Francis-Pinney Insurance Services, Inc. was started in 1950 as the John A. Francis Insurance Agency. Mr. Francis retired and sold the agency in 1984 to Dave Mauerman who merged it in 1986 with the property and casualty portion of Pinney Insurance Center . R. Jan Pinney, CEO and President, began the Pinney Agency in 1972 and over the years acquired several other agencies including All-Cal Insurance and Auburn Hills Insurance.

Today ISUFrancis-Pinney Insurance Services, Inc., operates in offices at the Olympus Corporate Center on Douglas Boulevard in Roseville , CA . The Commercial Division specializes in business property and liability insurance, workers compensation and employee benefits and the Personal Division specializes in auto, home and life insurance.
